“Hime kami” Dance

The “Hime kami” dance is known as “Freedom” dance despite the fact that it was inspired by the Timor’s colonial past.
The basis of the original “Hime-Kami” dance was formed during the invasion of Japan in Timor. Today, the Timor Furak Cultural Group continues to perform this dance to preserve the historical memory. A new combination of motions and moves has been added with an additional choreography for beautification of this dance.
